This Privacy Policy explains how Appdevy ("we", "us") handles information when you use Steadfox PMP Exam Prep (the "App").
Information we collect
- Your account: your email address and a password (stored in hashed form by our sign-in provider; we never see your password), or the identifier Apple or Google gives us if you use Sign in with Apple or Google, and a random user id
- Your practice: for each question you answer, which question, which options you chose, whether you were right, how long you took and when
- Sessions and results: for each practice run or case study you finish, its type, start and finish time, active time, interruptions and number of right answers
- Mistake reports: the question, the app version and the note you choose to write (up to 1000 characters)
- Subscription status, linked to your user id (Apple or Google process the payment; we never see your card details)
- Usage events such as opening the app, answering a question, finishing a case study, viewing the paywall and reporting a mistake, linked to your user id and never containing question text or your notes
- Basic device details: operating system and version, device model, app version and language
- Crash reports, with technical details of what the app was doing
If you create an account, we store the details you provide so you can sign in and use the App.
What we do not collect: Your location, contacts, photos, camera, microphone, advertising identifier or health information. We do not show advertising and we do not sell your data.
Figures about everyone
We combine first answers and first mock scores from all users, without names, emails or user ids, into totals such as the share of people who got a question right. The app shows a figure only when enough people are counted that no one can be picked out. Nobody can see another person's answers.
What stays on your phone
The question bank, your answers (until they are uploaded), where you stopped in a session, whether you have seen the introduction, and your sign-in (in the phone's secure storage).
How we use information
We use information only to operate, maintain and improve the App, provide support, and keep it secure. We do not sell your personal information.
Third-party services
The App uses these third-party services, which may process data under their own privacy policies:
- Supabase: account, sign-in, your answers, mistake reports and profile (stored in the EU region)
- RevenueCat: whether your subscription is active, tied to your user id
- PostHog: the usage events described above (hosted in the United States)
- Sentry: crash reports
- Apple and Google: Sign in with Apple or Google, the App Store and Google Play, including payments
Children's privacy
The App is not directed to children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.
Data retention and deletion
- Account data and answers stay until you delete your account.
- Usage events are kept for up to 12 months.
- Crash reports are kept for up to 90 days.
- Purchase records are kept by Apple, Google and RevenueCat under their own policies and the law.
Deleting your account permanently deletes your account, profile and saved answers from our servers and clears the app's data on your phone. Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription: manage or cancel it in your App Store or Google Play account. See how to delete your account.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your data, or to object to processing. Contact us to exercise these rights.
Security
We take reasonable measures to protect information, but no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
Changes
We may update this policy and will change the date above when we do.
