Privacy Policy

Your Knack rating is for fun. It is not an IQ score, and Knack does not claim to make you smarter.
This Privacy Policy explains how Appdevy ("we", "us") handles information when you use Knack: Daily Logic Puzzles (the "App").
Information we collect
- An anonymous account: a random ID and a made-up display name (like QuickOtter417) that you can change. No email, name or password
- Your play: the puzzles you play, your answers, how long they took, your rating, level, streak and results in challenges
- Your time zone, so the Daily Trio switches over at your midnight
- Friends: who you added with a friend code, and the friends and challenge results that follow from that
- Reports: if you report a puzzle or a name, we record the report
If you create an account, we store the details you provide so you can sign in and use the App.
What we do not collect: Real name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos, location or advertising ID. There is no advertising and there are no ad or tracking SDKs. We do not sell or share your data.
How we use it
To run the game: check your answers, work out your rating, show the leaderboards and your friends, and keep puzzles fair (for example, spotting accounts that cheat). Anonymous puzzle results are also used to measure how hard each puzzle really is.
Who can see what
Other players can see your display name, avatar, rating, tier and streak (on leaderboards, your friends list and player cards). They cannot see anything else about you.
How we use information
We use information only to operate, maintain and improve the App, provide support, and keep it secure. We do not sell your personal information.
Third-party services
The App uses these third-party services, which may process data under their own privacy policies:
- Supabase: our database provider, where your account and play data are kept. Your phone keeps a sign-in token in its secure storage and a few settings on the device
Children's privacy
The App is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.
Data retention and deletion
- Your account and play data are kept until you delete your account.
- Past puzzle attempts are kept without any link to you after deletion, so puzzles stay fair for everyone.

Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your data, or to object to processing. Contact us to exercise these rights.
Security
We take reasonable measures to protect information, but no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

We may update this policy and will change the date above when we do.
